After a short transfer to Kayaköy, we explore this atmospheric ghost town, abandoned following the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1924. We visit the grand stone houses and the historic church before beginning our scenic trek towards Ölüdeniz. Walking along ancient Lycian paths, we descend through pine forests and enjoy breathtaking coastal views before reaching the iconic Blue Lagoon. Here, we take a well-deserved swimming break before returning to our hotel in Ovacık.
Following breakfast, we transfer to Ovacık, the official starting point of the Lycian Way. Our hike ascends along the ridge of Mount Babadağ, providing panoramic views of Ölüdeniz, Butterfly Valley, and paragliders soaring above. The trail winds through pine forests and rocky terrain before descending towards Faralya, a small village perched above Butterfly Valley. We spend the night in a charming pension in Faralya.
After breakfast, we begin our trek through Butterfly Valley, named after the endemic blue butterflies found in the area. We pass small waterfalls and natural springs before continuing along coastal paths towards Kabak Bay. This secluded bay with its turquoise waters and lush green forests offers a perfect swimming break. After a short rest by the sea, we return to our accommodation in Faralya.
A short transfer takes us to Alınca, where we begin our final hike along the Lycian Way. This route offers breathtaking views of the Seven Capes from an altitude of 750 metres. The trail follows zigzagging descent paths, leading to the peaceful Ge Village. Thus, after completing our walk, we will take a short rest and then transfer to our hotel.
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye! After breakfast, we transfer you to Dalaman Airport for your return journey. Thank you for joining us on this incredible adventure along the Lycian Way! We hope you leave with unforgettable memories. See you on your next journey!
This tour is rated moderate to challenging. Daily hikes range from 7 km to 14 km with varying elevations. Some steep ascents and descents are involved, but no technical climbing is required.
The best time for this trek is spring (April–May–June) and autumn (September–October–November) when temperatures are mild, and nature is at its most beautiful.
